Gorgeous view right on the beach. Very nice room that was cleaned daily. Walking distance to all main attractions but far enough away that it’s very quiet. Staff was very helpful.
Enjoy the sea air from your private balcony in this hotel, make the most of the sunshine by the outdoor pool –you are just a short stroll to the beach.

FAQs about hotels in Nerja
On average, 3-star hotels in Nerja cost £90 per night, and 4-star hotels in Nerja are £131 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Nerja can be found for £70 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
The whitewashed houses perched on rocky cliffs and backed by the Sierra de Burno mountains make Nerja a picture perfect setting. If you're not in a boat, the second best place to admire Nerja is the so-called Balcony of Europe, a viewing platform overlooking the rugged coastline and turquoise waters.
Below the platform is a panoramic restaurant, and there are more restaurants and shops in the narrow town center streets, as you would expect of a Costa del Sol resort. However, Nerja’s distinct character differentiates it from the high-rise resorts. Its relaxed feel and Blue Flag beaches attract families, and there are good diving spots off neighboring Maro.
The town is spread over hills, and below one just outside town the Nerja Caves stretch for over 3 miles. Concerts are held in one cavernous chamber.
A 19th-century, multilevel aqueduct spans a gorge to the east, while to the west the Rio Chillar cuts through rocks to form a waterfall. The nearby donkey sanctuary also houses the occasional other farmyard animal. Dating back to the 17th century is the Hermitage of Las Angustias, and El Salvador Church is on a square looking out to sea.
Booking.com’s Nerja accommodations includes luxury beach hotels, guesthouses with pools, and cheap apartments with parking – particularly handy if you arrive by car from Málaga Airport.
Been visiting Nerja for years now and always love it there.
Been visiting Nerja for years now and always love it there. Great around the Balcon with plenty of bars/cafes/restaurants to choose from. Lovely streets for lazy strolls or shopping and various beaches to soak up the summer sun. Good vibes day and night throughout the resort.

Small town. Easy to find your way around. Felt very safe.
Small town. Easy to find your way around. Felt very safe. Didn’t seem overcrowded. Lots of restaurants, bars, and awesome sandy beaches. 10 minute bus ride to a beautiful small community up in the hills, Frigiliana. There’s a place there where you can have a glass of sherry or sweet wines from oak casts. Lovely…and cheap…1€. Had been looking for a nice brandy,1866,we had once in Ferrol. Couldn’t find it in Torremolinos or couple other areas, but found it in three small stores here. Cheapest place was a small supermarket. 49.99€. Happy me. People very friendly and helpful. Lovely town.

very beautiful place more than I expected,
very beautiful place more than I expected,
food and drink are cheap, we were spoiled for choice, streets are spotless clean, people are very friendly we only stayed for 4days,
I didn't think there was much for kids, unless you want to travel outside the town, I would say it would be more suited to couples or mature people,

The views from the Balcon de Nerja were lovely, and the town...
The views from the Balcon de Nerja were lovely, and the town, though obviously now very much a tourist spot, has an interesting history which you can discover by visiting the excellent local museum. Although I didn't explore them, the beaches looked very inviting. But the visit to the Cuevas de Nerja was the highlight of my stay - they are breathtaking! I have visited a number of caves, but Nerja's are like a cathedral compared to a parish church, and the prehistoric finds discovered there can be seen in the museum (the ticket for the "train" to the caves is not cheap, but includes entry to the museum, though I had to ask for a retired person's discount (2 euros) even though I have white hair.)
A family wedding trip, with family coming from a number of different countries. The house was perfect, typical Spanish , in the old town with beautiful little streets and great restaurants very closeby. A short walk to bus stops, beaches and busy central Nerja for the night life.. It had everything we needed in the house to make our stay home from home. Lovely terraces to sit out and relax and chat after exploring.. The hosts were quick to come back on any queries we had and gave plenty of information on arrival.
Everything. Great location, quiet, clean, modern, well-equipped, satellite TV, close free parking, beautiful roof-top terrace and pool. Within easy walking distance of historical area, with shops and restaurants, and the town beaches. In short, a big apartment for a couple with everything you need to enjoy a Nerja holiday. Accommodated us when we arrived early and steps away from a full supermarket. Don’t miss this gem!
- Hotel is in good condition. Everything worked, and the place is being kept really clean
- Staff was always helpful, and usually friendly
- Breakfast buffet is excellent, and enjoying outside on the balcony made it even better experience
- Great location: easy access to the Torrecilla Beach. Short distance from Nerja's old town, and few restaurants on the seaside are close
The hotel is spotless, the staff are great and very good quality and choice at breakfast. We personally love the beach, so we didn’t really use the pool area but it looks very nice.
It’s a nice 10 min stroll into the centre, we’re all the tapas bars are located. We highly recommend Villa Flamenca for your stay in Nerja and will return at some point in the future.
Stayed in December. Great hotel perfectly situated in Nerja for visiting the town on foot if staying for a few days without a car. A few minutes walk from the sea and restaurants. I recommend booking a room with a balcony as more spacious than the standard room. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Excellent transfer service between Malaga airport and the hotel.
One of my favorite places on our month-long trip to Spain in May 2023. Beautiful property, great location, friendly and extrely professional staff, breakfast and restaurant gourmet quality, comfortable room with all the amenities. Definitely a romantic getaway. Town of Nerja a 15-minute walk away. Or you can take a bus that stops close to Hotel Avalon.
Nice comfortable sunny apartment. The view from the patio was amazing, full sunshine all day long with ocean view . Kitchen was very well stocked for cooking. Very quiet area. Good distance from center and grocery store if you do not have a car but bus stop close, 200 meter walk (1euro) will get you there. Nerja is an amazing town, do not miss the Cuevas!
The Plaza Cavana hotel is amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble at this hotel. It is amazing value, the best location in Nerja and great breakfast. I cannot recommend Plaza Cavana Hotel enough. it is 5 stars all the way without 5 stars price. Excellent staff and excellent value.
Great location, quiet enough to be away from hustle but close enough to all the action and delights that Nerja offers. Really helpful staff made check in and out easy. Comfy and exceptionally clean room and good value for money. Would stay there again.
Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. The hotel has a great location right in the centre of Nerja, near bars, shops and a 5 minute walk to the beach. It is a small hotel which I like and has a cosy atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Everything was as booked, clean and comfortable.
Both the hotel and location are peaceful and relaxed, while being an easy walk to Nerja centre.
Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful.
Food was a good standard, with a good range of choices.
Wonderful location in the centre of Nerja. Despite the location, the hotel was peaceful , cool and elegant. There was a sun lounge area on the roof with access to a small pool. The buffet breakfast had a good choice of food and drinks.
It was our fourth visit to this hotel so we are very happy also with this stay. Friendly and serviceminded personell, nice breakfast and dinner (we had halfboard). Nice walk along the beach to centre of Nerja is a treat.
I think this is my new favourite hotel! So beautiful and peaceful, with incredible views, and yet it's also a quick stroll to the centre of Nerja. Being able to take a lift right onto the beach was magic!
The hotel is in the most stunning location, definitely the best location in Nerja.
The hotels best asset by far are the amazing staff. All of them went out of their way to be helpful & super friendly.
Eco friendly hotel which was exceptionally good. It was at a very nice location, very clean, good breakfast and aminities. I will recommend it to friends and family.
